Scope

This Privacy Policy aims to regulate the collection and processing of personal data provided by customers, suppliers and other partners and stakeholders, as well as to regulate the exercise of their rights in relation to these data.

Who We Are

Your personal data will be processed by the team of the restaurant Camilo, Muchacho & Muchado, Lda, collective entity no. 509201180, with registered office at Estrada da Ponta da Piedade, Praia do Camilo, 8600-544, in Lagos, telephone number 282 763 845, hereinafter referred to as "Camilo restaurant", which is the controller of the personal data it collects, processes and stores, in the sense in which such expressions are defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (or "GDPR"). 

Handling of personal data

The Camilo restaurant only processes personal data when this is necessary to comply with legal obligations that apply to it, or such processing operation is necessary for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual diligences associated with it. The Camilo restaurant may also process personal data if it has a legitimate interest to do so, provided that, in each case, this interest is in accordance with applicable law and the rights of the data subject. This may occur, in particular, for the purposes of managing and confirming reservations, communicating with its customers, sending satisfaction questionnaires, managing customer complaints, responding to requests for information and requests, managing customers' personal preferences, recruiting employees or providing information about the activities undertaken by the company. When none of the other conditions of lawfulness are able to support the operation of data processing, the restaurant Camilo will only process the information with the prior consent of the data subject to process their personal data for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes.

Term of conservation of personal data

The Camilo restaurant only keeps personal data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were collected. The retention periods of most of the personal data processed by the Camilo restaurant result from the law or the contracts it has with customers, suppliers and partners. 

Sharing and transfer of personal data

The Camilo restaurant shares data with third parties, under the legal terms, under the duty of cooperation, namely, the Food and Economic Safety Authority, the Authority for Working Conditions, the Tax and Customs Authority and Social Security. The Camilo restaurant may also transfer data to service providers that act exclusively under its guidance or support, and that comply with technical and organizational measures equivalent to those to which it is obliged.

In addition, Camilo restaurant may communicate your personal data with all subcontracted entities and when such data communications are necessary or appropriate:

(i) in light of the applicable law;

(ii) is made in compliance with a legal obligation/court order;

(iii) a resolution of the National Commission for Data Protection or other competent supervisory authority;

(iv) or to respond to requests from public or governmental authorities, as mentioned above nominally, but not exhaustively.

Exercise of data subject rights 

At any time, the data subject may: 

  • Request access to information - the holder of personal data has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not data concerning him or her is being processed and, where appropriate, access to his or her personal data and access to the information provided for by law. 
  • Request the erasure of your personal data - the personal data subject has the right to request the erasure of your data without undue delay, and it has the obligation to erase the personal data without undue delay when one of the following grounds, in particular, applies: 

○ The personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or processed; 

○ objects to processing where there are no overriding legitimate interests justifying the processing; or 

○ You have withdrawn your consent for data processing (in cases where processing is based on consent) and there are no other grounds for such processing 

  • Object to the processing of their personal data - the data subject may object to the processing of their personal data in cases where the data processing is carried out for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Camilo restaurant. In this situation, the company will be able to demonstrate the existence of legitimate grounds that outweigh the legitimate interests of the data subject.

The Camilo restaurant takes the necessary measures to ensure the secure processing of personal data. In particular, it takes precautionary measures to protect personal data from loss or abuse, and uses security procedures to prevent unauthorized access to such personal data.
